LIVING IN WATER
Call me crazy, but I bought a little bamboo desk to go across my tub so I can spend more time in water daily. My body doesn't hurt at all when I'm in water; when out, my pain fluctuates between 7 and 9 on 1-10 scale. Walking is excruciating as though my bones are grinding against each other. I walked to my apartment complex office yesterday, about 300 yards each way, and I thought I would need to call uber to get home.
But I also go to the UAMS Wellness Center MWF for an hour of deep-water jogging. My feet don't touch the bottom of the pool. I can easily stay my allotted time of an hour, never stopping the jogging, running, walking, stretching, twisting, hopping and twisting simultaneously. I can contort my body any which way with ease without an iota of pain.
How is that possible? How can I move my body in water when I can't roll over in bed without grunting and using great effort? I know all the data about fluidity and release of pressure. But I also know that the resistance in water is support to use the body more than on dry land.
Even the research doesn't fully answer my question. The resistance in water is supposed to make it a bit more difficult. For me, it's a piece of cake!

Whatever makes it possible makes me happy. I know people with chronic pain who rarely have a moment of ease. I find my ease in water, even if it's just my bathtub. By getting the bamboo desk, I can use my phone to make calls, text, and even write on Google Docs and pick up where I left off on my laptop. No, I'm not brave enough to try my laptop over water, even though my phone is more expensive. It's just too bundlesome and I'm not quick enough to catch it were there a sudden crash of the desk.

Apparently, I didn't invent the idea if writing and working in the bathtub; I simply discovered it, and said "why not?" So I looked for a bathtub desk, and look and behold, I'm not the only one. I bought a small cheap one to test out the idea. It's working and all I need for now.
How long do I spend in the tub? Well, a while. I eat a small breakfast that's healthy. Of course, I clean myself and pamper my skin. I may wash some small pieces of clothing. I'll sing. I'll soak and meditate. I'll make necessary phone calls or leisurely ones, as well. I'll text a bit and read a little urgent news. By then my mind is churning with ideas. Usually, I'll pull up my major writing piece, my book and work on a couple of chapters. I'll list the ideas I've come up with. I'll modify my to do list to prioitize the order. To that end, I will not say how long I stay in the tub. Usually, it's still daylight outside by the time I get dressed. Oh, I hate being rushed.
